LIVING TORAH 25 TINYANA: "THE GREATNESS OF HISBODEDUS"

I. SPIRITUAL GOALS.

1. "Going with the Torah": this should be a dynamic process, not just learning, but doing, living, and changing.

2. "The Ripple Effects of Hisbodedus":

-  being happy throughout the day, as a result of spending an hour a day in hisbodedus.

- maintaining the feeling of closeness to Hashem felt during hisbodedus during the entire day, which should result in a high level of emuna.

3. "Mind Over Matter"

- learning to devote the main body of my hisbodedus to asking for the spiritual and not for the material (based on "Likutei Halochos", "Hilchos Rosh Chodesh" 5).

- becoming willing  to sacrifice for the sake of spirituality and to pay for spiritual advances with material losses and inconveniences.

II. SPIRITUAL PRACTICES.

1. General Practices.

a) Giving  tzedakah at the beginning of this new project. to "open the door" into it (based on Torah 4 Tinyana).

b) Saying a prayer on this Torah from "Likutei Tefilos", preferably daily.

c) Writing my own prayer based on this Torah and saying it at the beginning of every hisbodedus session.

d) Reading this Torah aloud when reviewing it:

- to create a special connection with Rabbeinu through this Torah (based on Torah 12);

- so that it would show me the areas where I still have to improve (based on Torah 11).

e) Reading books and listening to classes about this Torah.

2. Specific Practices.

- Doing hisbodedus every day, preferably in the same place, for no less than 30 minutes, aiming for an hour.

- Once a week: doing hisbodedus in nature (for example, in a park).

"Turning the Torah into prayer": asking Hashem during my hisbodedus to help me put into practice whatever I've learned recently/

- Reading articles and listening to classes on hisbodedus,

In the vast body of material about hisbodedus, I want to find the things that speak to me personally, motivate me to invest in practicing it regularly, and show it as the way to reach the spiritual goals that I really want to reach.
